In the last November, I was requested to draw a family of 21 people into a nice funny caricature drawing. A lot of different photos of all the members were provided. Though the photos were not crisp and clear as the client had to dig out some very old photos of the senior members of the family and scan them. I had to request a lot of new/old different photos of each members still, to get a better understanding of facial and body features of each family member. The biggest challenge was to create a nice happy family picture where everybody is busy in their own favorite activity. So actually it was a double difficult job, as it was not only to work with not so clear photos of the members to create resembling character out of it, but also to align and adjust each person according to their age and activity. The family members were supposed to be busy in small groups enjoying themselves, like a family get-to-gather for a house warming or a Thanksgiving. I am thankful to my artists who worked together to compile this complicated yet enjoyable family drawing. This is an advantage when you work as a team.
